Introduction to Network Security: The OSI Security Architecture: Attacks, Services,
and Mechanisms; Security Attacks; Securi ty Services; A model for Network Security.

Processing Modes of Firewalls, Firewall Architectures, Protecting Remote Connections:
Remote Access, RADIUS, TACACS and Diameter, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).

Security Technology 2: Intrusion Detection, Access control and Other Security


Tools: Introduction, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS); Honey Pots. Honey Nets, and
