Objectives and scope of the Project

Objective:

Exam Seating Arrangement is specially designed for automation of examination system. This
system deals with the Seating Arrangement process of an exam automatically instead of
manually. This application will be used for the automatic seating arrangement on the basis of
number of classes, number of benches in a class number of students and their year of study.

Scope:

In the existing way of the examination seating arrangement, a dedicated person is required.
At first this person has to collect the information about students such as names of the
students. This person should also have knowledge about all the class rooms and also about all
the benches in the classroom. Then a person should allot each seat to each student manually
and this process is indeed very lengthy and time consuming. This also time consuming as
well as lengthy.

To overcome this problem, an automated examination seating arrangement system will be

developed which will reduce most of the manual work and generate a seating arrangement
taking in the following factors:

1)The number of students

2)The year of study they belong to
3)The number of classes
4)The number of benches in the class

Methodology

 The proposed system is user friendly and cost and time effective.
 Only authorized user can access the system

The application will contain the following modules:

1. Register

The user will have to register to access its features.

2. Log In
 Once registered the user can access its features. In order to log in, the user must enter
his/her registered username and password correctly.

3. Enter data

The user once logged in has to enter the number of students and their year of study,
the classes they want (only available classes will be displayed), the time and date of
examination.

4. Generate the seating and attendance

According to the factors mentioned above a seating arrangement will be generated

along with the attendance sheet of each class segregated depending on the classes they
are allotted.
