MARK 10:43-44
Whoever wishes to be great
among you will be your servant;
Whoever wishes to be first
among you will be the slave of all
IT IS THE KIND OF
SERVANTHOOD THAT IS
MARKED BY:
love
A leader must have a shepherd heart, a
tender, compassionate love for the people
entrusted under her care. The care of the
flock is her first concern. She should
remember that people matter most. She
should exercise patience, most especially
with the weaknesses of others. She should
remember our Lord's patience with the
doubting Thomas, the impulsive and
cowardly Peter, the cranky Martha, and
many others. With love, a leader is able to
bring out the best in others.
HUMILITY
A leader should learn to stoop down low
to serve, remembering that her duty is to
minister to others and not vice versa. She
should be self-effacing, not looking for
recognition, admiration or appreciation
for the things she does. She is submissive
not only to God but to the leaders the
Lord has placed on top of her
2 TIM 2:2
And what you heard from
me through many witnesses
entrust to faithful
people who will have the
ability to teach others
as well
INTEGRITY
She is sincere and honest in
words and keeps her promises.
She is faithful in discharging her
duties and loyal in service. She
is above board when it comes to
finances.
