' T h e Boston Herald, w h i c h recently vent u r e d upon some roseate speculations reg a r d i n g t h e politico-social m i l l e n n i u m , s u m m a r i z e s H o n r y George's views on t n e L o n d o n s t r i k e w i t h o u t c o n t r o v e r t i n g or adv a n c i n g beyond t h e m t o present auy o t h e r view. W h y does i t not say s o m e t h i n g o n it* scheme of profit-sharing? Mr. George k n o w s j u s t a 3 m u c h a b o u t t h e London s t r i k e as o t h e r people who have reason for w a t c h i n g such t h i n g s , a n d there i* n o t h i n g p a r t i c u l a r l y s t r i k i n g in t h a t p a r t of h i s conclusions which contains t h e prediction t h a t s t r i k e s will c o n t i n u e f r o m t i m e t o t i m e . A n d whoever a s k s for an act which shall e n r e a l l poverty in t h e world m u s t e i t h e r b e a n e n t h u s i a s t or m u s t h a v e in v i e w s o m e t h i n g other t h a n a m e a s u r e d e a l i n g with p a r t i c u l a r facts a n d expected to operate immediately. Even liberty in a r i g h t e o u s sense leaves t h e free a g e n t t o seek safety o r destruction, and will only s a v e as i t allows wisdom to survive a n d folly t o c e n s h . each of its o w n d e i ices.
