CHAPTER 6

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS

The developers created a Bus Transportation Management System, a web-

based application for passengers and drivers. It will help the user in many ways such

as monitoring the schedule, route, and fare rates of buses in Carcar City. The

application has three(3) significant users which are the passenger, the driver, and the

super admin.

Summarizing the Results

The developers conducted user acceptance testing and black-box testing to

verify and validate the functionalities of the system. Several test cases were generated

based on the behavior of the developed system. The system received a slightly

positive response from the respondents. 79 percent resulted from the black box testing

which shows that the system performs what is expected but still needs improvements.

As for the user acceptance testing, an average of 3.25 for Point System and 0.51 for

Yes/No questions were computed which shows that the respondents have accepted the

developed system and were able to see its purpose to the community.

The Results in Context

The results showed that the Bus Transportation Management System has

slightly met its objectives and however, the proponents develop an acceptable system

in terms of transportation that help commuters or passengers to arrive at their

destination on time, and hassle-free.

Evaluating the Process

The Bus Transportation Management System is incomplete since there is no

contact and about pages that will possibly help the users to gain information on how

the system will work and its purpose. However, the system works well and is

responsive. The system can easily identify and track the route to the destination of the

user which is included in the specific objectives.

Recommendations

Being informative in creating a system is important since the system is new to

the user. The user must have or need to know its purpose or objective for them to

answer their question; is it useful for me as a passenger and/or driver. Also, the

system must improve its functionality and design for user interfaces and user

experience.
