Practical : Neutralisation

Aim:
To observe the change in the solutions PH when an antacid is added to HCL
- Include a risk assessment
Risk Assessment
HCL is a corrosive chemical and therefore needs to be kept away from human skin and contact.
- Answer the questions above to analyse the results and conclude the experiment.
The universal solution showed us that the HCL had a PH of 4 and turned pink. After adding the
antacid, the colour changed to orange showing us that it had a PH of 5.
