“DREAM”

“Love do you think a person will kill his own father without a reason?” I asked Casper, he’s my boyfriend
and were already in a relationship for almost 4 years now.

Tinignan niya yung case na pinapakita ko sa kanya.

“No. of course not. Think about yourself love, if you were him would you kill your dad just because trip
mo? Do you remember our motto?” said Casper

“Everything happens for a reason” we said both at the same time. And we both chuckled

“See? Clearly if you would kill a person you must have a reason to feel enough anger or hatred to end
someone’s life.” He explained clearly

“Okay I got it. Thank you!” I said and gave him a peck on his cheeks. Yes I am a law student. And that’s
one of the cases we’re analyzing. My boyfriend is also a law student himself. Both 3 rd year college. And
whenever we can’t understand a situation we always ask each other pero mostly ako talaga madalas
yung laging may tanong. We are both dean’s lister.

“Love aren’t you tired of me? You see I always makes thing hard for us.”

“No. I am not and I won’t be, loving and staying with you really makes me happy and you make me more
inspired to be a successful Lawyer in the future. You see we’ve been together for years now and you’re
still so patient and understanding about me being busy in my case study almost everytime and I
appreciate that. So the answer is No. Ill stay with you no matter what. Also I must be with you on your
first case in court, your second and third case and even a thousand or a million case you take. I want to
witness how badass you can be inside the court.” He said that made me pout and wants to marry him
now pero charot dzuh kakasabi niya lang ng tungkol sa mga kaso simbahan agad bet ko. Pero honestly
he always motivates me and I feel so lucky to have him as my man.

Hindi na ako nakasagot sa sinabi niya. I just went close to him and hugged him so tight

“Someone’s being clingy huh” sabi niya na nagpatawa sa aming dalawa.

“Love I’m hungry” I said in between our hug. He chucked

“What do I expect to my piggy girlfriend. Okay lets have our brunch” sabi niya nang may halong pang
aasar.

-3 years later-

“You said a minute ago that you are at your sister’s apartment when the incident happened Am I right?”
I said

Questioning the defendant.

“Yes I am”. He proudly said. I smirked

“Your honor I would like to present my 2 nd evidence” sabi ko nang bumaling ako sa judge.

Pinakita sa harap ng isang monitor ang isang tagged picture ng kapatid ng akusado na naipost at the
exact day nang mangyari ang crimen. At ang sumunod naman ay ang live video ng kapatid na kasama
ang kanyang mga kaibigan habang nagiinom. And last a CCTV footage of his sister’s apartment.

“Would you explain why you aren’t in this post and in her apartment when infact you are with her?” I
argued. As I looked at the audience I see my man looking so proud of me.

Hours passed and its now the time to announce the verdict (verdict is the official decision of a jury inside
the court)

“We the jury sentence the defendant GUILTY BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT. I hereby declare court is
adjourned.” We won! My client and his family thanked me for being able to win their loved ones case.
This is my first ever case and I am glad that the justice is served. May he rest in peace.

After a little celebration in our firm. I am now on my way to meet my boyfriend.

“Love I did it, I won!” I said to him feeling so much excitement. As I stared at him, my smile vanished at
napalitan ng lungkot. All I can see now is his name, his birthdate and the date he died.

DIED: JANUARY 15, 2021

“Love and daya mo naman eh, you told me you’ll be with me on my first case in court? Sabi mo you”ll
stay with me, ang daya daya mo. Nandiyan ka kaagad. You just have let me die, I should be the one
there.” I tried to hold my tears but my eyes and feelings don’t cooperate.

“I kept my promise love, I made our dream come true” I said as my knees tremble and ended up sitting
and crying infront of him.

“Sabi mo sasamahan mo pa akong magpanalo ng mga kaso, sabi mo sasamahan mo pa akong

tumanngap ng ilang libo o ilang milyong kaso, bat naman nandiyan ka kaagad. Why did you sacrifice your
own life, why would you give it to me when in fact you could just let me die and move on.” 2 months
have passed and I can’t still move on. And how can I move on when the heart inside me is the heart of
the man I’m inlove with. Yes he gave me his heart literally, He is the reason why I’m still alive.

“I promise to take care of this heart love, I promise to take care of your heart. Para pag nagkita tayo ulit
you will still be proud of me, Wait for me there ha? Don’t think of replacing me huh, isusumbong talaga
kita kay tita. You know what tita is now moving forward, she’s now going out with her friends, like going
shopping with them after almost 2 months of isolating her self inside her room. You don’t need to worry
now for her, I’ll take care of him for you okay?” I said as I look at the sky crying while forcing to smile. Be
happy there love and wait for me, you’ll still put a ring on my finger.
