System Description

The 4007ES Fire alarm Control Panel product line offers two versions of panels, IDNAC
panels (fully addressable) and Hybrid panels (conventional and addressable).

4007ES IDNAC panels are fully addressable fire alarm control panels ideally suited for
new system installations. The base panel is capable of monitoring and controlling 100
(expandable to 250) addressable initiating devices on an IDNet signaling line circuit and
up to 127 addressable notification appliances on an IDNAC signaling line circuit. Also
included are two programmable relays, a 2 Amp circuit output configurable as a reverse
polarity (non-sync) notification appliance circuit or a 2 Amp auxiliary power output (non-
resetable). Built-in Ethernet and USB Ports are provided for software updates, backups,
and panel reports.

4007ES Hybrid panels support both conventional and addressable intiating devices as
well as conventional (non-addressable) notification appliances and are ideally suited for
retrofit installations. The base Hybrid panel includes an 8 Point Zone/Relay card (each
point can be configured as an Initiating Device Circuit input or Relay output) and 4
conventional Notification Appliance Cicuits for interfacing to existing conventional fire
alarm devices and appliances. The 4007ES panels are capable of supporting up to four 8
Point Zone/Relay cards. Also included are an IDNet signaling line circuit capable of
supporting up to 100 (expandable to 250)addressable initiating devices and built-in
Ethernet and USB Ports for software updates, backups, and panel reports.

The 4007ES IDNAC base panel includes the main system electronics with features listed

Sequence of Operation

Alarm Operation:
<The following representative tasks may need to be customized for each project>

Upon alarm activation of any area smoke detector, heat detector, manual pull station or
sprinkler waterflow switch, the following functions shall automatically occur:

 The internal audible device will sound at the control panel and at the remote
annunciator (if it is included). In addition the red "Fire Alarm" led will begin to flash.
The display will indicate Fire Alarm in System with the active device or zone in
alarm. Tap the unacknowledged alarm to silence the local audible device and cause
the Fire Alarm led to change from flashing to steady.

 The LCD display shall indicate all applicable information associated with the alarm
condition including; zone, device type, device location and time/date by Tapping on
the desired alarm event.

 The panel will record the occurrence of the event, the time of occurrence and the
device initiating the event in the system's historical log.

 Any remote or local annunciator LCD/LED's associated with the alarm zone shall be
illuminated.

 The panel will activate the audible and visible occupant notification appliances
throughout the building. To silence the building notification appliances, on the fire
alarm panel display tap on 'Alarm Functions", then tap on "Alarm Silence". When the
"Alarm Silence" request is processed by the panel, the yellow "Alarm Silenced" led
will be activated.

 Transmit signal to the central station with point identification.

 All automatic events programmed to the alarm point shall be executed and the
associated outputs activated.

 All stairwell/exit doors shall unlock throughout the building.

 All self-closing fire/smoke doors held open shall be released.

Supervisory Operation:
<The following representative tasks may need to be customized for each project>

Upon supervisory activation of any sprinkler valve supervisory switch, the following
functions shall automatically occur:
 The internal audible device shall sound at the control panel and at the remote
annunciator (if it is included) along with supervisory audible and visual signals as
indicated on the drawings.

 The internal audible device will sound at the control panel and at the remote
annunciator (if it is included) along with supervisory audible and visual signals as
indicated on the drawings. In addition the yellow "Supervisory" led will begin to flash.
The display will indicate Supervisory in System with the active device or zone in an
active supervisory condition. Tap the unacknowledged supervisory event to silence the
local audible device and cause the Supervisory led to change from flashing to steady.

 The LCD display shall indicate all applicable information associated with the
supervisory condition including; zone, device type, device location and time/date by
Tapping on the desired supervisory event.

 The panel will record the occurrence of the event, the time of occurrence and the
device initiating the event in the system's historical log.

 Any remote or local annunciator LCD/LED's associated with the supervisory zone
shall be illuminated.

 Audible supervisory signals shall be silenced from the control panel by the
supervisory acknowledge switch.

 Transmit signal to the central station with point identification.

Trouble Operation:
<The following representative tasks may need to be customized for each project>

Upon activation of a trouble condition or signal from any device on the system, the
following functions shall automatically occur:

 The internal audible device shall sound at the control panel and at the remote
annunciator (if it is included) along with trouble audible and visual signals as
indicated on the drawings. In addition the yellow "Trouble" led will begin to flash.
The display will indicate Trouble in System with the active device or zone in an active
supervisory condition. Tap the unacknowledged trouble event to silence the local
audible device and cause the Trouble led to change from flashing to steady.

 The LCD display shall indicate all applicable information associated with the trouble
condition including; zone, device type, device location and time/date by Tapping on
the desired trouble event.

 The panel will record the occurrence of the event, the time of occurrence and the
device initiating the event in the system's historical log.

 Any remote or local annunciator LCD/LED's associated with the trouble zone shall be
illuminated.
 Audible trouble signals shall be silenced from the fire alarm control panel by a trouble
acknowledge switch.

 Transmit signal to the central station with point identification.

Trouble reports for primary system power failure to the master control shall be
automatically delayed for a period of time equal to 25% of the system standby battery
capacity to eliminate spurious reports as a result of power fluctuations.
