Remediation Task - CAPILI
Volleyball
Made by: Margaret M. Capili
Nature of Volleyball:
- The basic goal is to get the ball over the net and
onto the court of the other team. When the
opponent's court is touched by the ball or they
are unable to effectively return it, a point is
awarded. For the ball to cross the goal, each
team has three hits or touches on it.
Background of
Volleyball:
- Volleyball was developed in 1895 by William G.
Morgan, the YMCA's physical education director in
Holyoke, Massachusetts. It was designed as an indoor
activity for corporations that believed the new game
of basketball was too physically taxing.
