Written Work # 2:Part 2 15 points

II. Solve the following problems. Show your complete solution. (15 points)

1. Determine the value of the equilibrium constant from the reaction

A + 2B ⇄ 2C

if 1.0 mol of A and 1.5 mol of B are placed in a 2000 mL vessel and allowed to come to
equilibrium. The equilibrium concentration of C is 0.35 mol/L.

2. A 1000 cc flask is filled with 4.00 grams of hydrogen gas and 8.27 ounces of bromine gas at
448oC. The value of the equilibrium constant, Kc, for the reaction
hydrogen gas + bromine gas ⇄ hydrogen bromide (g)
o
at 448 C is 50.5. What are the concentration of hydrogen gas , bromine gas , and
hydrogen bromide in the flask at equilibrium?

3. For the reaction,
N2O4(g) ⇄ nitrogen dioxide (g)

At 25oC, the equilibrium concentrations of nitrogen dioxide and N2O4 are 0.0204 M and 0.0898
M, respectively. What is the Kc of the reaction at the said temperature?
