In a nutshell, the acknowledgement of new literacies of

the internet offers an opportunity for the


classroom to move forward to a more active and
collaborative learning environment. The two
principles proposed by Leu & Kinzer highlight the
increasingly significant roles played by both
the teacher and the students to contribute to the
classroom’s success. On the other hand,
limitations regarding more professional training to the
teachers to ensure effective training to the
students with their social learning strategies require
more study and discussion to improve
learning quality in the internet age
