Description The mission of this course is to provide fundamental concept of multimedia communication system, multimedia information representation, text, image, audio and video compression techniques and different standards of multimedia communications. Teaching Methods

Every student is to be present in all the classes. If any student is found to be absent in a class, he/she should justify his/her absence. All the students are to be attentive and upto date with their study. Every hour of classroom teaching has to be backed up by adequate private study so that the students can acquire reasonable proficiency in the specific areas of the course. Teachers are required to get feedback from the students after the class. The classes should be in interactive process so that the students need to know how to ask question to make more reciprocal. Lecture sheets will be provided but students are advised to read text books along with lecture sheets. There will be five class tests and one power point presentation, average will be considered.
