The Narrow Road to the Deep North

Matsuo Basho

Compose a haiku about your reflection on life.

Poem:
Roller coaster life

Full of twists and turns

Before, roller coaster ride
Watching the beauty

The message/meaning of this poem:

The roller coaster is a metaphor for my life, which has many surprising changes. It has
its ups and downs. I do not always experience good times in my life. Sometimes good
times have to be faced along with bad times. I experienced failure, and that failure I
used to become a better version of myself. Thus, I would be able to determine how
fortunate I am or how beautiful life is because I survived every obstacle I faced. So,
"Watching the Beauty" represents the image of a rainbow because, no matter how hard
it is or the burden we carry on our shoulders, there is beauty behind it. I'd be able to
witness the splendour of life despite the challenges I experienced.
