Description of the MOV Presented:
The lesson plans objectives were based on the Most essential Learning Competencies (MELCS)
provided by the DepEd.
The lesson plan instructional activities used the 7Es Model Approach and the assessment used a
Multiple Choice type of evaluation.

COMPONENTS of INSTRUCTION
A. Learning Objectives

The objectives of my lesson plan were based on the MELCS that serve as the primary reference of
all Schools, Schools Division Offices (SDOs) and Regional Offices (ROs) in determining and
implementing learning delivery approaches that are suited to the local context and diversity of
learners, while adapting the challenges posed by COVID-19 (DepEd Memorandum CI-2020-000,
2020)

B. Instructional Activities
The model approach used in my lesson plan is the 7Es Model approach that have several
advantages. In the study of Fatimah and Anggrisia (2018) the advantages include stimulating students
to remember the subject matter they have learned before, motivating students to be more effective and
increasing students' curiosity, training students to learn to do concepts through experimental activities,
train students to convey verbally the concepts they have learned, provide opportunities for students to
think, search, find, and explain examples of the application of the concepts they have learned.
In the same study they determine the effectiveness of 7E Learning Model in improving the
Scientific Literacy of the students and the result s indicate that the 7E
learning model can improve the scientific literacy of the students.

C. Assessment
I used the Multiple Choice Question as an evaluation to measure the learning capabilities of the
students after the lesson was delivered. Multiple choice questions (MCQ) are considered versatile and
the most widely used components of objective examinations and are used for formative and
summative assessment as well as for various entrance examinations where ranking of students is of
paramount importance (Mehta & Mokhasi, 2015).
In the study of Moss (2001) he investigates the value of Multiple Choice as an assessment tool and
concluded that Multiple choice questions are a well-established, reliable method of assessing
knowledge and are used widely in postgraduate examinations in anaesthesiology. This could greatly
practice students on how their knowledge will be assessed in college and professional board
examinations.
