environments to enhance learning through the consistent implementation
of policies, guidelines and procedures.)

 Make sure the pupils have prepared their modules, notebooks and
ballpens.

1. What I Need to Know?

Share the learning objectives
2. What I Know?
Multiplication through Quick Flash II level 7
Use the Fist to Four strategy to recognize pupils who needed help and
who can help others.

This strategy will be used before and after the lesson.

(This illustrates INDICATOR 3: Use effective verbal and non-verbal
classroom communication strategies to support learner understanding,
participation, engagement and achievement)

Conduct the pre-test.

3. What’s In?
Match the items in Column A with the items in Column B.

2. 25 L b. 2.2 L
3. 15 000 000 cm3 c. 0.007 m3
4. 4 m3 d. 25 000 cm3
5. 2 200 cm3 e. 15 m3

B. Establishing a Purpose for the Lesson

1. What’s New?
Share a story about the impact of COVID-19, the benefits of having a
healthy habits like planting, arranging aquariums and collecting
different kinds of fish.
Ask the pupils about their experience during the COVID-19 pandemic
Emphasize the value of being resourceful.
(This illustrates INDICATOR 1: Apply knowledge of content within and
across curriculum teaching areas).

Answer the Problem Opener

Khloe bought an aquarium at Maria Ramos WorldFish Shop and
ask how much water can fill if it is 1 m high, 1 m wide and 2 m long?
What is being asked in the word problem?
What are the given facts?
What must be the operation to solve the word problem?

(This illustrates INDICATOR 2: Display proficient use of Mother

Tongue, Filipino and English to facilitate teaching and learning.)

2. What is It?
a. Ask the learners...
 How do we find the answer to this problem?
 What is the formula in finding the volume of a cubic and rectangular
prism?
(This illustrates INDICATOR 3: Use effective verbal and non-verbal
classroom communication strategies to support learner understanding,
participation, engagement and achievement.)

b. Share the PowerPoint presentation of the lesson.

 Discuss the formula to find the volume of a cube and rectangular
prism.
 Give more examples of finding the volume of a cube and
rectangular prism.

3. What’s more?
Group Activity (Snakes and Ladders)

(This illustrates INDICATOR 7: Apply a range of successful strategies

that maintain learning environments that motivate learners to work
productively by assuming responsibility for their own learning.)
(This illustrates INDICATOR 6: Maintain learning environments that
nurture and inspire learners to participate, cooperate and collaborate in
continued learning.)
(This illustrates INDICATOR 5: Maintain learning environments that
promote fairness, respect and care to encourage learning.)

Remind pupils about the group work rules.
