INTRODUCTION

Our research title is BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN DURING

PANDEMIC PERIOD AND ITS EFFECTS TO EMPLOYEES’ WELFARE AND

BENEFITS OF EARIST MANILA.

This Study Aims to know The Business Continuity Plan of

Earist Manila during pandemic. And most especially the effects of

such to its employees’ welfare and benefits. Our study focuses

more on the personal side of the effects rather than most

research which focuses more on the business side.

We talked about the series of effects in physical, mental,

and emotional state of employees during pandemic. How well do

employees handle the workload and stress in relation with the

current pandemic.
And most especially the significant relationship between

business continuity plan during Pandemic Period and effects to

employees’ welfare and benefits?

METHOD

The method used in this research is mainly survey. But we

also searched and gather information in other businesses that

continued during this pandemic season. We checked on how they

handle the pandemic on their business and how they take care of

their employees.

We conducted the survey on the employees and management of

EARIST MANILA to check how well they handled the business

continuity in relation with their personal well-being. And the

result is not that surprising as most of us care about our health

but we also need to earn and do something in order to survive.

RESULT

As we’ve said, the result is not that surprising, there is a

Very Strong Correlation (VSC) or significance in the relationship

between business continuity plan during Pandemic Period and

effects to employees’ welfare and benefits with an R-value of

0.99 as shown in this table:

This tells us that although business continuity is

important, they still want to think about their personal welfare

and benefits as well as their own well-being, as they should.

We all know that we need to take care of ourselves

especially during this pandemic. But if you are working at home

and on site. You need to manage different things at school and at

home, we need to take extra care of ourselves more than we

normally would at home and this research shows exactly that.

As you can see on our data reported and collected most of the

rank 1, if not all, are focused on being well, being healthy

inside and/or outside their workplace.

This does prove that the effects of the business continuity of

EARIST to workers and employees are more focused on being well

and staying safe inside and/or outside their workplace.

DISCUSSION

In conclusion employees and workers are willing to work to finish

their workload even with the need to go to school/ onsite so they

would not be bombarded with their workload. But they would still

think of their own safety first. No matter how much we need money

to survive, our own safety should be our first priority.


And as for our research there is a high chance that employees

would quit their jobs if the management will not think of their

employees’ welfare and benefits. This signifies that every

business and company should first prioritize everyone’s safety,

well-being, welfare, and benefits not only for the pandemic but

for the entirety of their work.
