PURPOSE
TFO
To define the preferred nominal dimensions and related tolerances for the body holes used in vehicles
constructions.
In this standard three precision classes are defined for holes:
Class A – Major dimensional relevance holes designed for coupling with various components
Code
(connection blocks, clamping elements, nuts and screws with cage, etc.)
Class B – Minor dimensional relevance holes (cable passages, welding electrodes, drainages,
etc.)
A
Class R – Holes, Slots and Squre Holes used to refer the body elements
The holes shown in this standard are to be used in the new projects. This standard contains part of the
Ch.
information of 00285 and 01328 (used in legacy drawings). The remaining holes are defined in
Supervisor
01329/01 and can be used only after specific request of Manufacturing, at the beginning of the project,
Manager
1
This standard contents correspond to Chrysler PS12430
Edition
For Carry Over elements that don’t need to be modified refer to 01328 e 00285 as shown in the
drawing.
NOTE: If tolerances different from what prescribed here are needed, thay must be explicitly shown on
the drawing.
WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT BY FGA S.P.A..IN CASE OF DISPUTE THE ONLY VALID REFERENCE IS THE ITALIAN EDITION.
Different solutions and/or violations to this standard must be agreed between Engineering and Manufacturing inside
the development team.
Change
IF THE ITALIAN EDITION IS NOT AVAILABLE OR NOT UPDATED, THE ENGLISH EDITION IS THE VALID REFERENCE.

The following information shall be indicated in sequence on the reference line terminated with an
arrow at the slot conotur: the word ”Slot”, the igher dimension between parenthesis (b), the ”x” symbol
followed by th lower dimension (a), then followed by the tolerance class (unique for all characteristics

When the punching direction is not perpendicular to the plane of the element to be punched, a slot
dimensional variation may occur; in this case the tolerance shall be evaluated by the designer and
written in the drawing.
