Fat Loss on the Road: How to Eat Healthy When You Travel

Got an extended stay in a hotel or Airbnb coming your way? No problem.

You can stay on track with your fat loss goals by dialing in the meal you have the most
control over when you travel for business or pleasure: Breakfast.

Having breakfast in the hotel room will help you save time and money -- and spare you
from the excessive calories of the morning buffet.

You’ll start the day on the right foot -- even if the rest of your day might be out of your
control (thanks to client dinners, or nights out with your friends or family, and so on).

This grocery list gives you plenty of healthy eating options that will keep well at room
temperature or fit in a mini fridge.

The Grocery List:

Protein:
• Chicken Salad Packets
• Tuna Salad Packets
• Protein Powder (suggested: minimum 20g of of protein per serving like Ladder or
True Athlete)
• Protein Bars (suggested: Rx Chocolate Sea Salt or Quest S’mores)
• Jerky (suggested: Obertos or Epic)
• Plain Non-fat Greek Yogurt

Carbohydrates:
• Oatmeal
• Dave’s Killer Bread
• Hummus

Healthy fats:
• Peanut Butter
• Cheese Sticks
• Nuts

Veggies/Fruits:
• Salad Greens (bagged for convenience)
• Carrot sticks
• Apples
• Bananas
• Oranges
• Blueberries

Others:
• Gallon of water
• Athletic Greens

Example Meals/Snacks

Breakfast:
• Oatmeal
• Medium piece of fruit or 1/2 cup berries
• Serve with 1-2 scoops protein powder in water (at least 20g of protein)

Breakfast:
• Dave’s Killer Bread topped with
• Peanut Butter
• Banana slices
• Serve with 1-2 scoops protein powder in water (at least 20g of protein)

Lunch or Dinner:
• Chicken salad sandwich
• Serve with 2 tablespoons hummus and unlimited veggies

Lunch or Dinner:
• Tuna salad, serve over lettuce greens
• Unlimited veggies

Snack Options:
• Cheese and fruit
• Nuts and jerky
• Yogurt
• Protein bar
