One Friend
Dan Seals
I always thought you were the best 'Cause when we were together
I guess I always will It made the dream come true
I always thought that we were blessed If I had only one friend left
And I feel that way still I'd want it to be you…
Sometimes we took the hard road Someone who understands me
But we always saw it through And knows me inside out
If I had only one friend left Helps keep me together
I'd want it to be you And believes without a doubt
Sometimes the world was on our side That I could move a mountain
Sometimes it wasn't fair Someone to tell it to
Sometimes it gave a helping hand If I had only one friend
Sometimes we didn't care I'd want it to be you
