NARATIVE EXPERIENCE
I was deeply glad when CDO Electrocare called and confirmed that I am
accepted to be an On-the-job trainee in the said company. I was expecting some
electrical works because basically their products are mostly transformers and electrical
motors. However, it did not goes that way. We are assigned by the supervisor of the
company to install a newly bought CCTV’s. I and my fellow trainees were frightened
because we have not yet experienced actual installation of the said gadget. We only
have the knowledge how the CCTV works. We planned and brain stormed for the steps
to do. We managed to get some ideas through our Instructor which gives us a lot help to
truly finish the installation. At the later part of our training, some of the workers help us
to understand the basic components of electrical motors and transformers. We learned
some of the most important steps to rewind the motors. From scraping or cleaning to
winding and testing the finished product.
Due to unexpected circumstances our training was not come into an end. We
were pulled out due to this Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, I personally enjoyed and
motivated through the help of CDO Electrocare in experiencing the true labor and feels
of being a worker.
