SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

The intent of this study is to determine the relationship between Filipino sociocultural and
individual characteristics and motivations to the Filipina body image satisfaction and disordered
eating attitudes and behaviors among the female students in Polytechnic University of the
Philippines, Sto. Tomas Branch. Who are natural-born resident of the Philippines or are living in
the said country for not less than 10 years with their Filipino parents, with the age requirement
of 18-30 years old.

Due to present restrictions brought by the COVID-19, the study will solely be conducted through
cloud – based services like Google Forms and Zoom Meeting. Thus, answers and findings may
be limited due to the objective measures that will be utilized. The chosen sample will also be
recruited from female undergraduate students, at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines,
and will be selected through Snowball sampling. Hence, participant may or may not possess
pre-existing knowledge about the topic.
