tips and tricks in using powerpoint.
 First let us talk about what is powerpoint
 So yes, Handmade instructional materials are effective tool in
teaching but we cannot deny the fact that our educational system
are now becoming digitalize and more advance because of the
presence of the technology specially computers, tablets ,
cellphone and laptops and we always say na lisud kaau mag
maestra kung way laptop. And now we are using powerpoint
program as one of our instructional tool in teaching, making slide
presentation for our discussions and presentations.

 And since I know that all of us are using this program, I will be
sharing some insights, tips just to remind us on the things we
should remember in using this said program.
TIPS ON USING POWERPOINT
1. THINK OF YOUR STUDENT-
Walk around your classroom and make sure students don’t have
to strain their eyes to read any of the text.
2. KEEP IT SIMPLE –
Yes, PowerPoint comes with default themes and wide array of
transitions and animations but don’t let them detract from your
content.
3. Do Not Use a Lot of Text
-You invested time in this task. Do not ruin it.

4. Prepare Your Backup

-There can always appear technical difficulties that would prevent
you from continuing the presentation.

5. Be a Master in Your Topic

-Ask yourself questions and find answers for them. Look out for
interesting facts. The more research you will do, the more
comfortable with the topic you will be. You will master the
presentation and the audience will trust you more and more. And
for sure your teacher will be impressed.

6. Change the Slide Size

7. Zooming for Presentations
8. Use “Presenter View”
9. Don’t read from the screen
10. Don’t point
-As much as possible do not point word by word ,If you have a
laser you can use it instead but if wala you can use ruler or pen
tool

11. Shifting focus

- This will allow our learners to concentrate on what you are
talking or discussing not on the text sa slide.
- Or even when you are asking to check whether or not your
pupils are listening to your discussion.
12. Remove background
13. Try Using GIFs
14. Output to a different format
15. Embed your font files
16. Use TRANSITIONS
17. Skipping Slides
• -It’s very useful if you need to skip animations and slides and it
avoids all the unnecessary clicking.
18. Choose readable colors and fonts
-Presenting in a large room? Make your text larger than usual so
people in the back can read it. Presenting with the lights on? Dark
text on a light background is your best bet for visibility.

Highlight large images

19. If your presentation includes important images, try making
them cover the entire slide. While you won't be able to include
much text on these slides, displaying the right image can be an
effective tool to reinforce an important point in your
presentation.
