In order for MTC to be viewed as strategic suppliers for the major hospital groups and gpos the
following can be done:

 Create a contract in order to establish a win – win situation.


 Improve customer support and be more agile to orders and market trends.
 Respond better to shortages and demands.
 It is important to bring new innovations into the products in order to obtain a competitive
advantage while maintaining the cost.
 Improved risk mitigation plans.
 Better and standardized scorecard system to measure and track supplier and relationship
performance.
 The relationship must be genuine and not contrived.
 Contribute and innovate to make the life of the customer easy.
 There must a communication strategy and relationship development roadmap for every
single customer.

Q.2) what are typical activities that …..in a strategic partner…?

In other words , put yourself in the position of MTC customer.

In other words, put yourself in the position of MTCs customer.The hospitals might look into the
following for MTC to become a strategic partner:

 Low cost and high quality products.


 Supply at all times conveniently without any shortage.
 Introducing innovative products into the market.
 Obtaining feedback and trying to modify the products based on that
 Becoming a partner with as many hospitals as possible in order to gain trust and
inadvertently becoming a strategic partner.
 Obviously creating a win – win situation on both sides.

Q.3) what are initiatives that MTC might consider working on with hospitals that are strategic
partners?......three..

 Implementing lean/ jit systems in the supply chain


 Low cost inventory.
 Removing the middle man and creating their own supply chain network.
 More , importantly , introducing on site sterilization .
Q.4) what should MTC do about their off –site………? 3 reasons …..for either option..

ANS

As a whole , MTC should bring in their off-site sterilization and start doing in on site.

The reasons are as follows:-

 It reduces the cost of the product.


 The lead time for the product delivery is significantly reduces which indirectly helps in
forecasting and produce products more accurately .
 Help in use the money saved in innovating new products and improving the quality.
 Will be more reactive to the customer requests by implementing lean/ JTT techniques

There are also few reasons why the off site sterilization site should be there:

 Helps the company focus on core tasks.


 Prompts growth within the company .
 Develop internal staffs
 Maintain operational control.
