Perhaps the most effective line of reasoning is to point out that training the youth
to study lyrical apparatuses helps them to enhance their relationships. It is
exceedingly difficult to deny the fact that having known how to play a musical
instrument gives children chances to easily attend numerous clubs and socialize
with many members. For example, discussing ideas about the lyrics as well as
sharing the methods to improve skills are opportunities for young members to
communicate with others in the clubs. What is commonly acknowledged is that
these organizations also celebrate parties with other clubs to exchange
experiences and expand social relations.
Opponents of the point of view outlined above highlight the fact that learning to
play a musical tool is a waste of time and money. To a certain extent, they are
right. However, this thought ignores the fact that having mastered a musical
instrument can be beneficial for both mental and physical health. Children can
grow up with positive emotions nurtured by the melodies they play and exercise
finger and body movements. This can help children minimize the time they spend
using electronic devices or playing video games which is not good for them if they
are addicted to these activities.
All in all, each side of the argument does prove convincing to a certain extent.
Nonetheless, my own view is that training a child to play instruments will be more
beneficial in most cases and thus should be widely encouraged.
