HISTORY
Angat Microfinance Institution was established in 2022 with the goal
of providing financial solutions that contribute to progressive social and
economic development. Seeing the community's urgent needs and
challenging situation in terms of unemployment, student support, and
unrecognized locally produced goods, the institution recognized the
opportunities that would benefit this specific group of people. The
organization helps to improve the lives of many by innovating techniques to
better meet the needs of its clientele, which are unemployed citizens,
students, and local businesses in Region 4A-CALABARZON by the year
2040. While the majority of the country still lacks an effective, sustainable,
and widely accessible financial system, Angat Microfinance Institution strives
to provide access to financial services such as educational support and
entrepreneurial opportunities to unemployed individuals through innovative
financial products. Through the monetary services it gives and the role it plays
in the economy's development, the company will act as a tool for
entrepreneurial development.This institution allows poor households to move
from everyday survival to planning for the future, investing in better
businesses, improved living conditions, as well as children’s education.
Furthermore, Angat MFI founders are continuously developing a
financial system that is both supportive and responsive to the constantly
changing needs of the Filipino people. This institution will make significant
improvements, not just for the organization's own interests but also for the
betterment of the people who are eligible for financial assistance. In addition,
Angat MFI gained legal authority to get into contracts in order to operate
lending operations and accept monetary support from various organizations,
stakeholders, and agencies, with the same intention of easing the lives of
lower sector communities in the Philippines.
MISSION STATEMENT
Vision
The Angat Microfinance Institution envisions to become the leading
organization which provides financial solutions contributing to the progressive
social and economic development of Region IV-A CALABARZON in 2040
Mission

The institution is committed to offer continuous support for the


unemployed individuals and students in partnership with local producers
and entrepreneurs through:
• Long-term access to life-sustaining products and services in the
most cost-effective and sustainable way possible;
• Assisting the members in making positive changes in managing
their financial resources;
• Providing educational assistance for qualified students in
pursuing their business and agriculture courses; and
• Creating subsistence business opportunities for unemployed
individuals through innovative financial products.
Core Values
The Angat Microfinance Institution believes that the following core
values will support the vision, shape the culture and reflect its company
values and purpose:
Accountability
The willingness and acceptance of obligations and responsibilities
for honest and ethical conduct towards others. The management ensure to
clearly disseminate the plans and instructions from top to bottom of the
entire organization. It will make all the members transparent, allowing
others to observe and evaluate one's performance. They will be held
accountable with the consequences of their own actions and decisions.
Notable
The institution aims to be the leading and be known to have positive
evaluation or an established consensus regarding its merits as it moves
toward the goal of transforming lives of every Filipino and them to become
the best version of themselves in handling their financial resources and
sustaining their lives independently.
Goal-Oriented
The organization is determined to succeed and will remove any
obstacles that stand in their way. Challenges may present themselves on
the process—plans and strategies may change but never its goals.
Moreover, it will the entire institution align focus, promote sense of self-
mastery and purpose. This will also make sure to understand the

importance of creating, pursuing and meeting its different objectives in the


long run. Most importantly, members and management will have
personality and instill discipline necessary to ensure that it maintains good
goal habits.
Active
The entire institution will actively participate, guide, and respond to
the needs of their members. The management is bound to keep
themselves aware regarding the changes in their society to continuously
adapt as it may affect everyone involved in the organization. In line with
this, a management that is seen positively active, well-aware,
knowledgeable, and skilled will be its members’ epitome and inspiration to
be motivated that can boost their morale and enjoy the things they do.
Timeless Learning
Learning never stops and will never stay just within the four corners
of the room. It is all about how the organization will be able to reflect from
its past decisions and adapting it to make more improved strategic pans
and actions in the present. Everyone in the organization will learn and grow
together as people generally learn through trial and error but it benefits
each individual as they to learn through different situations in different
times.
