I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. Describe how unifying themes in the study of life show the connections
among living things,
b. Identify how the living things interact with each other and with their
environment,
c. Appreciate all living things by understanding there functions in the
environment.

LEARNING COMPTENCY:

Describe how unifying themes (e.g., structure and function, evolution, and
ecosystems) in the study of life show the connections among living things and
how they interact with each other and with their environment (S11/12LT-IIa-3)

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic : THE CONNECTIONS AND INTERACTIONS

III. LEARNING PROCEDURE

PRE- ACTIVIIES
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of attendance
4. Setting classroom standards
5. Review of past lesson
6. Motivation (PUZZLE)
 The teacher will show a picture with jumbled letters and let the
students to answer it.
7. Presentation of new lesson
8. Statement of objectives
DURING ACTIVITIES
A. ACTIVITY.” ARRANGE AND CONNECT”
. The teacher will group the students into 3. Each group will be given 2
jumbled pictures and arrange it. After arranging the pictures, connect it to the
proper word or phrases that describes the picture.

B. ANALYSIS. “PICTURE ANALYSIS”


The teacher will give short description about the pictures in each group and
the students will report their topic or pictures given to them.

C. ABSTRACTION. “DISCUSSION TIME”


The teacher will give more inputs about the topic: THE CONNECTIONS
AND INTERACTIONS AMONG LIVING THINGS

D. APPLICATION. “LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!”


The teacher will group the students into 2. Each group will make a role
playing that shows a connection and interaction among living things with their
environment.

IV. EVALUATION (5 min.)


In ½ sheet of paper (Crosswise), Answer the following question:
1. Which of the unifying themes do you consider
the most important of all? Why did you say so?

V. ENRICHMENT
In ¼ illustration board, make a poster that show the interaction among
living things with their environment.
