One of the reason of English taking a load in young age is the number of languages that must be
mastered by Children. As we born, we are sued to know our mother tongue followed by second
language.It can be Indonesian language first, and then local language or vice versa. English as a
foreign language is considered a burden to be learned from an early age. There are many
concerns that children at this age. If they focus too much on English, it will make them unable to
speak Indonesian and forget their local language. It can be proved with a school that prioritizes
English in its children makes them can not even speak Indonesian well. Furthermore, the deputy
minister of education and culture said that English would burden students if it was studied in
elementary schools, therefore this subject was abolished at the grade.

However, young age is the good time of cognitive to develop well. It is the best time in learning
English.It is a golden age which means children are easily to remember and evaluate. It can
make them easily to understand English. For instance, children which learn English earlier can
speak English fluency at junior/ senior high school. Then, school which focus in English makes
them knowing English well. In a psycholinguistic study, it is explained that learning language
can affect brain development, because when we speak, we are trained to think continuously. At
this moment, English is just not for course to get a point t school, but it is a requirement to
