Objective/s: 1. identify the different online collaborative tools that can enhance communication and
collaboration among groups;

2. determine the advantages of using online collaborative tools;

● Online class norms

● Opening Prayer

● Attendance Check

● Review of the previous activity and lesson

b. Engage/ Bridge-In (5 to 8 mins)

● Conduct a short recap of what took place last synchronous session

● Smoothly connect the topic for this week to the previous lesson

● Introduce the new topic by discussing “THE ONLINE/DIGITAL WORLD”

● Play a short activity called “NEVER HAVE I EVER” and let the student
participate using the chat box.

NEVER HAVE I EVER: Write the phrase “I HAVE” if you have experienced or
explored the given platform and “I HAVE NEVER” if the platform is new to you.

“Uses FACEBOOK to communicate your ideas and send files.”

“Uses G SUITE to collaborate with my classmates and teachers.”

“Uses MS Teams for persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage,
and application integration.”

“Uses Dropbox to transfer files to the cloud, and share them with anyone.”

“Uses Trello to create to-do list and task boards.”


“Uses WordPress to create a beautiful single website or blog.”

c. Elicit. (5 to 8 mins) Smoothly discuss the connection of the given statements to


the present discussion.

COLLABORATION and the different ONLINE COLLABORATIVE TOOLS.

Short Introduction: Based on the latest statistics published at Oberlo.com, Facebook


continues to reign strong as the king of social media, with 2.498 billion active users as
of April 2020. That means that nearly two out of every three of the 3.81 billion active
social media users are active Facebook users. It is still the most popular social media
platform used by many people for communication and collaboration. Same with other
websites and blogs, this app would not be that interesting if it were not for all your
friends. Let us now learn how to create a collaborative ICT content.”

● Divide the class into 3 groups and conduct a group activity that involves
different ONLINE COLLABORATIVE TOOLS to promote ONLINE
COLLABORATION

GROUP ACTIVITY:

(Using Google Docs) Write the advantages of using online collaborative tools.

(Using Google Jamboard) Do you use other collaborative/social tools besides


Facebook? If yes, what are they and what do you use them for? Kindly share your
experience/s using these tools.

(Using ideabordz) Write your insights on how collaboration tools do help people with
the current situation we are in today.
 

e. Explain (15 to 20 mins)

● After sharing of answers, the teacher will synthesize the answers.

● Brief discussion of the topic by supplementing it with a video presentation


about DIGITAL LITERACY and ONLINE COLLABORATION

f. Elaborate (10 mins) The students will sum up the lesson.

● Relating the lesson to present issues/ concerns.

● End the lesson with the quote “Collaboration allows us to know more than what
we are capable of knowing by ourselves”

g. Evaluation (10 mins)

● Students will be given a link of Google Form for the post-test. This test is to be
taken for 10 minutes only.
