For tunneling and mining equipment simulators, the platform
is available in three different versions;
• Full cabin
• Classroom
• Desktop
In the full cabin simulator platform, you’ll experience the
simulated operation in a real cabin, used on a real machine.
This is as close to reality as you can get.

The classroom simulator platform still provides a very
authentic experience with complete functionality. This
version is the best alternative if you want it all, but have
a limited space.
The desktop version is our lightest simulator model, which
can be easily fit on a regular desk. With this you can focus
on improving positioning and drilling performance.

True-to-life simulators
Epiroc simulators are built from the engineering
plans of the real machine. All programs and
controls are real machine components, giving
you the exact feeling of using actual Epiroc
equipment.
All functions, including the Epiroc Rig Control
System (RCS) are fully functional*, ensuring that
the operators are well prepared for reality.
(*on equipment models which offer the RCS
functionality)

To create a realistic field of view, and a more
immersive experience, the Epiroc simulator
uses the same cab as with the real equipment.
Inside the cab, there is a multiple LED screen
system, displaying real-time simulation. To take
advantage of the current session, a large screen
is mounted outside the cab, enabling a small
group of operators to watch and learn.
The simulators include full documentation
regarding manuals and quick start-up guides;
they can also be remotely updated and fault
diagnostics can be monitored over the
internet.

The scenarios, with increasing complex­ity, will
take you from safety and start-up procedures
up to advanced performance. In each sce-
nario you get instructions on how to operate
and carry out all actions.
The Epiroc simulators can be configured
for operation in your local lan­guage. This
language support includes translated
instructions on management system displays,
manuals, start-up guides, and RCS displays.
As you get more experienced you can
choose to hide the instructions. You will get
performance statistics from the integrated
management system throughout your
performance in the simulator.

The management system is a learning-focused system that
enables the instructor to define the prerequisites for any
simulator exercise and maintain a suitable learning path for
the operator in training.

The management system provides a bird’s-eye view for

both the operator and the instructor. It provides the instructor
with the ability to monitor the progress of each operator
in real time and detect when someone may need further
instructions.

With smart replacement kits you can easily transform our
simulators to be able to use them for different applications.

You can go from one version of Rig Control System (RCS)*

to another, as well as from production drilling, to face
drilling and even bolting. (*on equipment models which
offer the RCS functionality)

Replacement kits provide you with a flexible simulator that

will enjoy high utilization.

Master Driller program – Go for gold

The Epiroc Master Driller program for mining and construc-

tion, where the simulator is a feature, is designed to help
operators perform at 100% of their ability. The Master Driller
program combines theory and practical training for oper-
ators on three distinct levels – Bronze, Silver and Gold. The
program is built around the many conditions and tasks that
operators face in mining and construction operations.
