1.Five (5) experiences of succes and challenges of Rizal during his studies.
1) Socio-political issues of his era that made it hard for him to grow.
2) His capacity for self-denial had developed to such a degree that enabled him.
 3) He was late for registration, and looked too frail for the rigors of Jesuit education.
4) The emancipation of the Filipinos from Spanish rule.
5) Risking his safety just to fight for what he believed is right.
6) He left his homeland for studies in Spain.

2.Short essay about the convergence and divergence of the education system in the time of Dr. Jose Rizal from
our present time.
Education is believed to be the most powerful weapon a person can use to succeed in life. Since the past
eras, people already gave importance to this aspect. In the time of Rizal, education system was very different.
Even though the positive effects of education is very undeniable still, it was hard for people to go school because
of the education system. During Rizal's time, education system is characterized by the four R's namely the
reading, writing, arithmetic and religion. Inequality during this era is also one of the case why some people did
not have their opportunity to go school.
Education during those time was said to be very strict and rigid. They gave emphasis to religion as the friars
were the ones to control the educational system and the missionaries took charge in teaching. All about Catholic
religion was strictly taught inside the school. With all of these happening, the discrimination between different
races arise. There was discrimination between Spaniards and Filipinos. During this time, education for boys and
girls were also separated.
This shows the differences between the past educational system and the present. Education system now is very
accessible, everyone is given the opportunities to learn inside the school. Different subject can be learned. The
teachers are those who finished their education.
