Question 1

JumpStart website considers the above math recommendations by providing a membership

platform where the children receive over 850 learning activities, 200 storybooks, and 50 plus videos.

The child's progress is monitored and given mathematical problems based on the level and the ability to

solve the problems. Mathletics website provides features for both parents and teachers where both can

keep track of the child's performance and get resources that the child can use to improve performance.

MathIsFun website provides worksheets that children use to test themselves and monitor their progress

based on the problems they can solve and keep track of the activities.

Question 2

I would recommend parents or educators to use the JumpStart website because it provides every

resource required for developing a child and analyzing the child's performance. The website contains

products that engage children in the classroom or at home. It contains the parent center where a parent

can keep track of the child's learning progress; motivational rewards where children earn tickets for

playing learning activities hence keeping them motivated; and educational content where the child gets

access to all the educational resources like numbers, socio-emotional skills, and shapes.

Question 3

JumpStart helps children learn by providing a resourceful interface where children can interact

with it and select the kind of activity they want to engage in and well-organized content that does not

require one to call for support. Mathletics website has engaging activities and challenges that provide

intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and rewards. It also provides time-saving automation and resources

like access to eBooks, real-time marking, automated reports, and activity videos for home educators.

MathIsFun's website has a range of different activities and games which are engaging and help children

develop logical thinking while playing. It also gives children the opportunity to create timetables that

guide them throughout learning.

Question 4

All the websites, JumpStart, Mathletics, and MathIsFun, offer inquiry-based learning by

providing a platform where the children can tackle the activities and then post challenges incurred or

write comments. In applying key issues and concepts, all the websites provide activities that apply the

concepts learned by the use of gaming. They cater to the learners' feedback and provide solutions in

real-time.

Question 5

JumpStart website provides a connection between math and science by providing activities that

apply the concepts learned like numbers in doing experimental work. MathIsFun's website connects with

art and provides art challenges that involve designing using shapes. Mathletics website ensures that

content learned in math is applied in health by engaging the children in inactivity to determine the

volume of substances.

Question 6

JumpStart website broadens my understanding of mathematics in a cultural context by directly

developing activities that relate to our culture and others. The activities elaborate on the cultural

practices through an understanding of different lifestyles. The MathIsFun and Mathletics websites have

a standard way of applying cultural concepts in mathematics by using them in real examples.

Question 7

All the websites provide teachers with creating an account that helps them monitor the child's

progress and the analysis that gives help in understanding the child's capability. They also provide

automated reports that provide the child's trend analysis that is beneficial in their development.

Question 8

Parents receive the general report concerning the child's performance and the recommendations

needed for the child's improvement for both websites. The children are also provided with different

activities which require engagement with their parents to tackle. Parents will receive communication

concerning the activities that the child needs to follow. The parents are again provided with the

information concerning the ability of the child to demonstrate critical thinking in every activity they get

involved in.
