July 31, 2019 . With the passage of the Republic Act 10871 entitled “Basic Life Support Training in Schools Act”, the DOH is directed to assist the Department of Education (DepEd) in developing the BLS Education Training Program. In response, series of workshops have been conducted last year to standardize the BLS training design in the presence of experts from selected DOH Hospitals and health sector partners like the Philippine Heart Association, Philippine Red Cross, and American Heart Association. DepEd ‘was represented to provide inputs as future provider and recipient of the training Cognizant of its role in producing future BLS rescuers in the future, the Health and Nutrition Section in partnership with its training partners, the DOH Regional Office X, will be conducting Basic Life Support Provider’ s Course for a. District DRRM Coordinators b. Select nurses of this Division. The said training will be on August 8 - 9, 2019 at Loiza’s Pavilion, Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon Enclosed is the list of participants per district. ‘The participants are expected to arrive at the training venue at 7:00 to 7:30 in the moming, wear something comfortable and strictly NO PLUNGING NECKLINES for female participants.6. The participants are also expected to be PHYSICALLY FIT and NOT PREGNANT during the course of the training, 7. This training is a live-out training, Meals to be served: Breakfast, Lunch, AM Snacks, PM Snacks on 1* day and 2™ day, and dinner on the 1" night of the training, 8. Travelling Expenses incurred during the activity shall be charged to local funds, subject to usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 9. ‘This Memorandum serves as the Travel Order for the said participants. 10.
