REORIENTATION OF PARENTS
FOR FACE TO FACE CLASSES
S.Y. 2021 - 2022
Lonoy Elementary School (Grade VI-A) class conducted a reorientation of
parents for the face to face classes this school year 2021 - 2022 last April 4, 2022 this
activity aims to let parents and stakeholders learn the criteria for participation, existing
protocols, mechanism and procedures that the school will be implementing, what are
the expectations from us and from them and to understood the process on how the
learning process will take place if we are able to participate in the limited face to face
classes. Following the local health protocols provided by the IATF, text brigade was
done for the information dissemination and the Brgy. Officials participated the
dissemination of schedule to assure attendance during the said date.
The activity started at 9: 11 am with the expected participants the parents and
guardians in my advisory class the parents. The first part of the activity was to welcome
the parents and were directed to the needs of their learners in academic track, failure to
submit modules and additional rules in distribution and retrieval were also agreed then
an agreement form was given to them, it was the same agreement form that they signed
last November 27, 2021, it was given to them to directly ask them if the decision they
made last time is still the same decision they have in this very moment. It was also
presented to them that Lonoy Elementary School may adopt the Limited Face to Face in
the middle of the School Year 2021-2022 in Light of the COVID – 19 Public Health
Emergency, specifically on the provision of access to appropriate, quality learning
resources. This meeting for the limited face to face classes is the highlight of this activity
since their opinions and suggestions were gathered an open forum took place and
expectations from us was laid down and the vaccination roll out was part since parents
need to be vaccinated. Vaccination importance was given emphasis but the children
were not obligated.
It was also emphasized that Lonoy Elementary School ensure that all learners
are provided a continues education as to whether the parents agree or not.
Considering the present context of teaching and learning, the emphasis for all
school work must be on learning and not on compliance. Teachers need to have
constant communication with the learners and their parents to gather feedback.
At around 10:46 in the morning the activity successfully ended. The school year
2021-2022 is indeed another challenging step for us to continue the learning process.
