• Beach Motel is a lifestyle Hotel that is especially known for its bar and the variety kind of drinks, Cafe is
stated in front of the cold North Sea that you can enjoy fabulous scenery from. I worked there for seven
month and spend most of the time at the breakfast buffet and bar that we served up to 250 people
a day. I also managed to experience housekeeping, such as make sure the cleaner cleaned the room
properly, maintained the public area cleaned and managed individual requests from the guests. Some
of my tasks were:
1. Breakfast: greeting guests on arrival and guiding them towards their table, introduce them the menu
and the self service area, manage special requests, maintaining the buffet area in close work with the
kitchen
2. Cafe: taking orders, making all different kinds of coffee (e.g. Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato
etc. ), serving and cleaning up after the customers leaves, cleaning the machines and calculate the
money earned & the tip and preparing the shift for the next colleague
3. Bar: taking orders, asking for ID & Covid-19 vaccination certificate if needed, delivering the food and
regular checking on the customers for new orders, making all kind of alcoholic beverages (e.g. gin tonic,
own creations, standard cocktails like Mojito, Negroni and Paloma), collecting the bill and cleaning the
bar and area after the night shift
