TOPIC: Pagtitiwala sa sarili (self-confidence)

I. OBJECTIVES
Within the discussion, the students should be able to:

 Accept and trust their selves and have a sense of control

in their life.
 Set realistic expectations and goals, communicate
assertively, and can handle criticism.
 Love their flaws, and imperfections as well as improving
their unique talents and self-confidence.

IV. PROCEDURE
A. PREPARATION
1. Prayer/Greetings
The teacher will choose a student to lead the prayer then
greet the students and instruct them to sit properly.
2. Checking of Cleanliness
The teacher will check if the assigned cleaners did their
part, asks to align their tables and chairs.

The class secretary will be requested to check the absent

in the class.
4. Passing of Assignment
The teacher will ask the students to pass their
assignments.

B. REVIEW
The teacher will ask students about their experience on bullying,
it they experienced being bullied or they are the bullies and ask them
how they feel that time and what is the impact of this in their lives.

(Note: The language used will be their mother tongue)

C. MOTIVATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The teacher will ask the students to stand up and dance with the
songs of “Kumusta ka” and look for a partner from time to time until the
teache ends the song.

Kumusta ka , halina’t magsaya ,

Padyak sa kanan, padyak sa kaliwa ,
Umikot ng umikot at humanap ng iba .
(Repeat)
The teacher will provide one copy each for the students , this
hand out for their motivational activity, they will be ask to write positive
things they say to their selves in the apples on the tree. And in the
apples that fell off the tree (the rotten apples) they will write the
negative things they hear or they say about their selves. And some of
the students will be ask to explain their work to the class. (It is okay to
be written in tagalog or mother tongue)

D. LESSON PROPER
The teacher will discuss about the topic, the rules and will flash
some examples of the people showing talents, socializing with other
people. And explain that building self-confidence isn’t that easy , so we
must be careful in our words , actions or gestures because it may affect
their self -confidence as well as us.

E. ACTIVITY
The teacher will give an activity to the students. Each grade
level will have its own group and perform a role play, a poem or a
dance number which is connected in showing self-confidence with their
own strategy and explain how their performance is connected to
building self-confidence.

“Ako ay” Activity.

Have the student paste a little picture of their selves on a piece
of paper and written below their picture is something about their selves,
their talents , started by the word “Ako si” , and followed by the word
“Takot ako sa…”

V. GENERALIZATION

It is important for every grade 4 5, and 6 students to learn building or

having self-esteem/self-confidence for Self-confidence enables students to
handle setbacks with ease. Instead of being crippled by failure, resilient
children get up quickly, learn from their mistakes, and try again. They accept that
failure is a part of life and take more chances as a result - which makes them
even more successful later in life.

VI. EVALUATION
The teacher will give each grade level an evaluation to test their knowledge
about the topic. Write on their answer sheet if the picture show building self-
confidence or not , if it builds self-confidence , write and write if it is
not showing self-esteem/self-confidence.
