 Curriculum Development (C2P, Link 11)

SAIC 5/2019 to 8/2021 Doha, Qatar
JRE Field Service Technician II

 Troubleshot LVT-2, LVT-3, and MIDS JTRS Link 16 networks including crypto, timing, NDL, and
receptivity issues in both ground stations and airborne systems. Used various troubleshooting equipment
including spectrum analyzers, antenna testers for VSWR, and ViaSat tools such as LEGS.
 Worked on data link issues involving US and Multi-country operations and exercises. Met with Qatari,
French, and British forces to solve time-critical connectivity issues. Created detailed "Lessons Learned"
documentation with steps-by-step guides on future fixes.
 Installed, maintained and repaired long-standing issues related to JREAP-A SATCOM at AUAB AFB.
Provided essential SATCOM connectivity with C-17's, C-130's, KC-130J Tankers and B-52's with
ground stations during critical missions and routine flights. Troubleshot issues with PSC-5 and PRC-
117F/G equipped ground stations with DRC/ROBE ARC-210/ARC-230 equipped aircraft.
 Provided support over the phone and in-person to over 20+ JRE's in the AFCENT region totaling 400+
tickets resolved. Reports back to SAIC are long and detailed, fostering customer satisfaction and
assurance that the contract is essential and fulfilled.
 Repaired RMA JRE hardware including testing and replacing motherboards, PCIe serial and graphics
cards, cables, KVM's and UPS. Ran tests to guarantee JRE/JTEP set-up was operable prior to shipment.
 Patched JRE client/server images. Performed administrative tasks on Win 7, 10 and Solaris 10 OS's for
an Air/Space Operations center. Ensured air picture down time was at an absolute minimum.
 Taught the 5-day JRE training course in San Diego. Instructed students on how to use and deploy a
JTEP ground station. This included deploying a JRE with a MIDS LVT-2, SADL, PRC-117G, and vIPer
JREAP-B connections. Set up labs, administered tests and awarded certificates of completion.

band switching. Used RF sniffers, Multi-meters, VNA’s and worked with test support to replace
defective components and modules.
 Installed, deployed, and troubleshot test benches with benchtop DMM’s, Oscilloscopes, Vector Network
Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Phase Noise Analyzers and Hot/Cold plates.
 Tuned Integrated Microwave Assemblies using Vector Network Analyzers and capacitor probes to fine-
tune circuits to customer specifications.
 Soldered small components under a microscope as well as assembled Microwave Integrated Circuits
using a wirebond machine, gapweld machine, and die-attaching components.
