IV. Program: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

V. Rationale:
Dugong Bayani: Blood Donation Services Awareness is a non-profit organization that educates people about blood
donation, who can donate blood, where we can donate blood, and why we should donate blood. This program attempts to
encourage people to donate blood if they are able, so that we can help others in need. This awareness program hopes that the
knowledge they gain from our project will drive them to share their knowledge with others, so that everyone is aware of how
they can one day become a hero in someone's life.

The Department of Health (DOH) increases its campaign for voluntary blood donation in order to produce and allocate safe
blood supplies while maintaining adequacy and accessibility. To save the lives of millions of Filipinos in need of blood
transfusions, the State supports voluntary blood donation under Republic Act 7719, popularly known as the National Blood
Services Act of 1994. This is in tandem with updated blood service facilities and the formation of a National Blood
Transfusion Service Network to ensure the country's adequate and safe blood supply.

This project fulfills our responsibility to serve in the community in accordance with SLU and NSTP. Even during a
pandemic, our mission for our entire community and to be socially involved remains for the health and social welfare of others,
even in our own home. Dugong Bayani: Blood Donation Services Awareness will benefit all because it will increase awareness
and knowledge of how blood is needed and used to save the lives of many people, especially when it comes to our mission of
giving many people a reason to help maintain a safe and adequate blood supply for the communities we serve.

VIII. Impact Assessment Plan

The main goals of this program are to improve learning, encourage civic involvement, and develop communities through
addressing societal needs. Blood donation provides numerous benefits for both the recipient and the donor. This understanding
could have a positive impact on one's well being. Blood donation has been shown in studies to reduce stress, boost emotional
well-being, and improve overall physical health. When this information is adequately distributed, a student's life is activated in
order to reduce the potential health risks to one's well-being. Blood donors are essential members of the community. Making a
difference in the lives of others can improve a donor's mood. It fosters collaboration between communities and educational
institutions. Such programs build on each other's strengths and help participants strengthen their roles as change agents for
enhancing health professions knowledge, civic duty, and community health overall. It allows students to understand their
course content, become aware of health factors, value the pedagogy of multiple teachers, and advance their careers.
Dugong Bayani: Blood Donation Services Awareness is beneficial because it provides students with an academic
foundation while also increasing their self-confidence, leadership skills, and community duties. As a result, the outreach
activities had an impact on the participants' academic progress, personal development, and civic involvement. The students
provided relevant and meaningful care that linked academic knowledge to real-world scenarios. This increased their sense of
responsibility for their studies and influenced their attitudes on care for underprivileged communities.

IX. END-OF-ACTIVITY REPORT:
Dugong Bayani: Blood Donation Services Awareness is a non-profit program that educates people about blood donation,
including who may donate blood, and why we should. This program is a collaboration with the NSTP 2 7058 Group, which also
promotes the importance of Blood Donation in healthcare. On June 18, 2022, Ms. Louisha Mondares scouted for people who
promotes Blood Donation and found Mr. Julius Joseph Salangsang and his groupmates which has the same goals of their program.
On the same day, the two parties agreed on having a collaboration, in which Ms. Louisha Mondares is in charge of promotions and
publication materials, while Mr. Julius Salangsang’s group is in charge of the awareness webinar. Since then, the two parties have
worked on their projects. On July 17, 2022, the webinar was held via Google Meet. Each and every one of the members spoke,
including the collaborator, Ms. Louisha Mondares, to further promote on the importance of Blood Donation. People who attended
the webinar gave positive reviews and suggestions to further improve our program. On the other hand, Ms. Louisha Mondares
used social media to raise awareness on the people who needs blood donors and places where people can register to donate blood.
The posts gained attention, in which we can say that the awareness program is a success. In conclusion, Dugong Bayani: Blood
Donation Services Awareness is beneficial since it raised awareness to people of what blood donation really is and how important
it is to our healthcare. Having people to be interested in our awareness program and webinar is an evidence that most of the people
are willing to donate blood.
