TRAINING WORKSHEET

15. How can you check the operation of the air control system ?
Via the air system screen.…………………………………………

16. In this screen, what actuators / sensors can you diagnose ?

Actuators: throttle valve, EGR valve, wastegate.
Sensors: Air mass flow, air temperature/boost pressure, intake
temperature. ……………………………………..………………….

17. On the air temperature/boost pressure sensor what information can

you check:
2 information available: air temperature and boost pressure
values. ………………………………………………………………..

18. Compare the values between the air temperature sensor and the
intake temperature sensor, are the values equal ? Why ?
No the values are different, the air temperature sensor
measures the temperature of fresh air however intake
temperature sensor measures the temperature of mixed air
(fresh air + Exhaust Gas Recirculation). ….……………………

19. What is the status of the different actuators when the tractor is at
idle speed ?
Throttle valve: almost closed (97%), EGR valve: fully closed
(0%), wastegate: fully closed (0%) . …………………………...

20. Is it possible to check that EEM4 doesn’t work in overheating

condition ?
Yes it’s possible to check the temperature of EEM4 thanks to
the ECU temperature profile screen. .…………………………

Select the calibration menu then injector calibration:

21. Is the IQA code format the same as MF5600 models ?

No the format is different, on MF8700 it is a 10 characters
code. …..……..……..……..……..……..……..……..……..……….

Before to continue, note the correct code for each injector

(by a print screen for example).

22. When you have done the print screen, change the last number of
an injector code or change completely the IQA code. What
happens on the code in the window ?
The code change to AAAAAAA. ………………………………..

23. Change again the code for the injector but with the correct code.
