1) Due to DM high DM water consumption in UB ,shut down occurred on 11.06.2020 leading to

DM water crised. DM water chain can be kept operational by reducing repeated regenerations
and regenaretion time. There was urgent requirement of resin in wba-1,WBA-3 and LBA-B to
meet high demand of DM water
2) M/s. Thermax, to whom order was placed through normal tendering for WBA resin earlier
,informed that the earliest they can supply is till 23.06.2020 i.e material to reach site by
NIL through E- ION (Exchange)

3) Being limited source of supply for WBA resin as M/s Thermax and M/s. Ion Exchange
participated in earlier open tender , M/s. Ion Exchange was contacted regarding supply of WBA
resin ( M/s. Ion Exchange stood L2 in the open tender for WBA resin) . M/s. Ion Exchange confirm
to supply WBA resin on 17.06.2020.
4) As material was urgent and no alternative was available to get the material on the shortest
possible time order was placed to m/s ion exchange india pvt ltd on nomination basis
