Describe in detail types of structural works designed and supervised and degree of responsibilities in

each engagement

Detail types of civil and structural works supervised in

(1) Sheet piling to frame the shaft (temporary works), including excavation (more than 6m) and
implementing the waler and strut support systems for the works,
(2) Reinforced concrete piling works to all deep valve chamber,
(3) Supervise underpinning works for existing drains, cable trenches, gas pipes etc., at locations
where the pipeline crosses these services at the Sungei Lanchar Drainage Reserve ,
(4) the construction of the pipe jacking works including concrete cladded steel pipes, jacking
and receiving shafts, struts, wailings, etc.
(5) the construction of deep reinforced concrete manhole chambers,
(6) the construction of all the necessary anchor blocks, thrust blocks, concrete pads, concrete
haunching, concrete encasement and diaphragm wall.

Responsibilities:

(1) Daily supervision of the civil and structural works including checking, inspection and
approval for concreting the structural elements,
(2) To ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans/drawings,
(3) To document the essential site records and test records based on the QA/QC manuals and
procedure,
(4) To assist RE/ARE to execute the above project in accordance with the provisions of building
control,
(5) To coordinate with the project safety officer to promote the safe work practice and ensure
the compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act & Regulations.
