AMENDMENT TO THE ANDHRA PRADESH STATE HOUSING CORPORATION LIMITED GENERAL

SERVICE RULES, 1998 APPROVED.

In exercise of the powers conferred under article 141 of the Articles of Association of the Andhra
Pradesh State Housing Corporation Limited, the Government hereby approves the following amendment to
the Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Limited General Service Rules, 1998 issued in G.O.Ms.No.33,
Housing (RH-1) Department, dated the 26th May, 1998 and published in part-I, Extraordinary issue of the
Andhra Pradesh Gazette No. 282, dated the 5th June, 1998 as subsequently amended from time to time.

AMENDMENT

In the said rules, in Annexure I, in the table thereunder, under Class III against the Category 1 “Assistant
Engineer for the entries in column (4) under the heading “Qualification”, the following entries shall be
substituted, namely:-
“For Direct Recruitment :
1. Must possess a Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Civil or Mechanical
Engineering. Degree holders shall be preferred.
2. Working knowledge in computers.

For Promotion :

1. Must possess a minimum of Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or ITI Draughtsman (Civil)
qualification.

2. Must have completed a minimum service of three years as Draughtsman (Civil).

3. Must have completed five yerars of service as work Inspector (Technical).

Explanation :-

The candidates of Draughtsman (Civil) and Work Inspector (Technical) with ITI Draughtsman (Civil)
qualification shall be considered for promotion to the post of Assistant Engineer (Housing) only where no
eligible candidates in the said category (i.e., Draughtsman (Civil) and Work Inspector (Technical) with the
qualification of Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering are available in Housing Corporation.”
