Aspiring Financial Independence

 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
An initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75
years of independence of progressive India and the glorious history of its
people, culture and achievements.

The 75th Independence Day will be the celebration of the spirit of

freedom struggle and the reflection of the feeling of sacrifice.
The 75th anniversary of India's Independence will be celebrated nation wide
year long until 15th August, 2022.

Need for Financial Independence

The Standard & Poor’s Financial Services LLC (S&P), FinLit Survey 2015
findingsare sobering. Worldwide, only 1-in-3 adults are financially literate. India
is hometo 17.5% of the World’s population, but nearly 76% of its adult
population are notable to understand basic financial concepts.

Financial ignorance carries significant costs. Consumers who fail to

understand the concept of interest compounding spend more on
transaction fees, run up bigger debts, and incur higher interest rates on
loans (Lusardi and Tufano, 2015; Lusardiand de Bassa Scheresberg, 2013).
They also end up borrowing more and saving less money (Stango and
Zinman, 2009).

Financially independent society is a demographic dividend and the

financially dependent society is a demographic liability.

 NSE Finmahotsav
NSE Finmahotsav is a national level financial- market based event which
aims at holistic development of the financial knowledge of aspiring
students. An extravagant mahotsav aimed to inculcate the sense of
financial freedom.

The participants who qualify the intracollegiate level will represent their
college at the national level.

The event is categorized into flagship, large cap, mid cap and small cap
on the basis of hierarchy and the points table for the same is mentioned
on page 12 of the brochure.

 Rules a n d Regulations
1. Principal/ Vice Principal of the institute shall consent to participate in NSE
Finmahotsav by signing a consent form. By doing so the institute agrees to
abide by all the rules, regulations, procedures & processes of NSE's Finmahotsav.
The decision of the organisers BIAP & NSE shall b e final a n d binding on all the
colleges and participants.
2. The Head of the institute shall nominate a Faculty Co-Ordinator, Student
Contingent Leader (CL), Two Student Contingent Assistant Leader
(ACL), who shall represent the institute on their behalf.
3. Intrested colleges are requested to fill the Google Form below :

4. All submissions will b e sent only by Student Contingent Leaders to us via-

No other entries other than these will b e considered.
5. The participants will receive a confirmation email.
6. After the confirmation mail is received the college will get a contingent name
that will be used throughout the competition.
7. The participants should adhere to event specific rules discussed in the
Contingent Leader meet.
8. The participants will receive an e- certificate of participation on the
behalf of NSE (NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE) an d BIAP (BOARD OF
INDUSTRY- ACADEMIA PARTNERSHIP)
9. A detailed rules and regulation will be shared once the college registers for the
NSE Finmahotsav.
10. Points earned at the intracollegiate event will not be caried forward to the inter
collegiate level.
NOTE - If any rule is violated the team shall b e eliminated form the said event.
