RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE HEREIN FORMULATED BARANGAY PEACE AND ORDER AND
PUBLIC SAFETY PLAN (BPOPS) PLAN FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2021-2023 OF BARANGAY
PANIANGAN AND RESPECTFULLY ENDORSING THE SAME TO THE OFFICE OF THE BARANGAY
DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL FOR THEIR REVIEW AND APPROVAL

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the State to safeguard the integrity of its territory and the well-being of its citizenry
from the ill-effects of dangerous drugs;

WHEREAS, it is the paramount concern of the government to maintain peace and order nationwide and to
effectively curb the proliferation of dangerous drugs and other similar substances;

WHEREAS, Chapter IV, Section 391, paragraph 20 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local
Government Code of 1991, mandates that barangays shall adopt measures towards the prevention and eradication of
drug abuse;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Leonardo B. Yapac and duly seconded by Mrs. Cornelia F. Dabodabo, it
was;

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to adopt the formulated Barangay Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan
(BPOPS) for the calendar year 2021-2023 and endorse the same to the office of the Barangay Development Council
for their review and approval
