FLOW CHART OF LAUNDRY OPERATION

1) In every shift, the Supervisor assembles her members to discuss the target quantity
of laundry for the day;

2) The Supervisor records in the Log Book the number of soiled linens that were
picked up from clients;

3) The person assigned to wash the linens shall sort and separate those that have
heavy stains for treatment which means applying chemicals to remove spots;

4) Washing machines should not be overloaded. There is a required quantity for

single and double sheet to be loaded so that linens are properly washed and
cleaned and to avoid malfunction of the machine as well;

5) Bed sheets must not be left in the dryer for too long a period. The temperature
should be from twenty (20) to twenty five (25) degrees only so that when they are
inserted in the flat work ironer, they will come out smooth and properly pressed;

6) Laundered items are checked against pick-up receipts before they are packed to
ensure that there are no missing items;

7) The guard on duty records all laundered items on his Log Book before they are
loaded to the service vehicles for delivery.

TREATMENT OF INFECTIOUS LINENS

1) Soak infectious linen in hot water (between seventy (70) and eighty (80) degrees
Celsius) mixed with benzalkonium chloride (one (1) liter of chemical for every
twenty (20) liters of water) for at least an hour. Cover the soaked infectious linen.

2) Pre-wash the soaked infectious linen with detergent soap using the small washing
machine exclusively used for infectious linen. Do the pre-washing three (3) times.

3) Wash the linen with detergent soap alkali and softener.
