Q1.) What were the advantages Eastman could get by adopting SAP?
Ans.)
 The SAP managed information throughout the company across
the supply chain, including bringing raw materials into the
plants, operating the manufacturing process and fulfilling
customer orders.
 It also enabled intra and inter company planning of supply chain
and scheduling and monitoring various processes.
 Acquiring rapid data was also helped by SAP.
 Demand planning also was incorporated.
 Provided connectivity to multi parties beyond point to point
interactions.

Q2.)  How could ISS be helpful for the entire supply chain of
Eastman?
Ans.)
 With ISS, Eastman could leverage internet and XML
technologies to enable it to connect its core computing platform.
By this it would allow direct data transfer between core systems.
 It helped initially in basic purchase orders, sales orders and
acknowledgments exchanged electronically after negotiating the
business process and data formats with the pilot trading partners.
