PAY-IN-3 | WooCommerce Integration

OVERVIEW
Consumers are increasingly demanding flexibility and freedom in their financial life. The Indian financial
ecosystem is one of the most robust and innovative among global peers and we have seen a plethora
of innovative solutions including wallets, QR code based payments and UPI taking on a huge wave of
acceptance.

Indian consumers and especially the online consumer is demanding affordability and flexibility solutions
as evidenced in conversations that Simpl has had with online ecosystem partners. Despite the
emergence of a new set of young consumers, the adoption of credit cards have been primarily only
among ~30 Mn unique Indian consumers.

This leaves a large set of upwardly mobile consumers that's being insufficiently covered for flexibility
and affordability while shopping. Such users are native to the internet and mobile and are getting the
best user experience through their interactions with online apps for gaming, food, music, entertainment,
commuting etc. Such users expect the world's best experience for the flexibility/affordability and also
expect instant gratification, frictionless journeys, cutting edge UX and transparency.

Simpl is now introducing ‘Pay in 3’, a truly flexible, transparent and zero cost buy now pay later
solution that's unlike any other offering from banks, credit card companies or NBFCs. .

INTEGRATION SPECIFICATIONS
1. Plugin Compatibility & Dependencies
- WordPress v4.4 and later
- Woocommerce v4.0 and later
- PHP version 7.3 or greater
- php-curl extension

2. Pre-requisites
- Simpl Pay in 3 credentials for integration
Please ask the integration manager to share the sandbox merchant client ID and secret
for configuring Pay in 3 plugin integration.
- Testing account setup
Please share the phone number and Email of the users for whom you want to setup test
Accounts

3. Installation & Setup


- Plugin installation
Install the plugin - “Simpl Pay in 3 Gateway for WooCommerce” from installation section
in admin console or WooCommerce Marketplace

- Configuration setup
Update the configuration for Pay in 3 plugin in plugin settings-

4. Go-live checklist
- Share the staging build with Simpl for integration QA.
- Once QA approved, Simpl will productionise merchant entity and share production client
secret.
- Disable test mode and update the production secret
- Share merchant logo with Simpl to be updated in Simpl app and merchants we support
page
- Update your privacy policy to comply with Google/Apple Play Store Policy :
”As you access and use our services, we collect certain information from you, including but not limited to,
phone number, email address, device make-details, and IP address. By accessing and using our services,
you expressly consent to the sharing and disclosure of your information so collected, with our third-party
service providers, business partners, and agents. For example, your information may be shared with
third-party services like GetSimpl to ensure fraud prevention and PayLater check out experience. Please
refer to the third-party privacy policy for more details.”

DATA SHARING
The following data params are shared with Simpl using Pay in 3 Woocommerce plugin.

1. Fingerprint Details
This caters to device/browser-level data which feeds our approval and underwriting models.

2. Transaction/Order details
This caters to order details of the transaction that a user is paying for. This helps Simpl to calibrate
the credit limit of the user as per their transaction indicators.

3. User data
This caters to details that help Simpl gauge if a user is verified at Simpl’s or Merchant’s end and can
ensure real-time approvals depending upon the verification strength of the shared data.

ORDER CANCELLATION
Simpl has a 24-hours fraud-mitigation policy for pay in 3 transactions.

As part of this policy, all successful transactions are subjected to post-facto fraud detection checks to
identify any malintention from the user's end.

For the orders being flagged as fraudulent, we want to cancel these transactions and initiate a refund
for the same by setting up a process along with merchants around cancellation and updation of status.
