This British Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee GME/32 and is
the English language version of EN 526:1993 In la n d n a viga tion vessels —
Ga n gwa ys with a len gth n ot exceed in g 8 m — Requ ir em en ts, types , published by
the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
EN 526 was produced as a result of international discussions in which the United
Kingdom took an active part.

navigation vessels except those gangways intended deck of the gangway
for passengers. It specifies types, main dimensions 3.6
and test conditions which have to be observed for cross-member
safety reasons.
