PUBLIC NOTICE
INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT
PLAN (IDP) PROCESS:
CALL FOR INTERESTED STAKEHOLDERS
The Municipal Systems Act (2000) requires municipalities to develop
Integrated Development Plans (IDPs) which function as the single,
inclusive and strategic plan for the development of the municipality.
Further, Section 34 of the Municipal Systems Act requires that IDPs
be reviewed each year in order to address comments from the MEC,
to make amendments in response to changing circumstances and
to make the necessary content and process improvements.
Amathole District Municipality (ADM), together with its local
municipalities will embark on the IDP development processes. These
municipalities, respectively, will be establishing IDP Representative
Forums comprising of community leaders, traditional leaders,
pressure/advocacy groups, representatives of interest groups and
other interested and concerned stakeholders about the development
of these municipal areas.
This notice seeks to request that should your organization wish to
participate in the IDP development processes, and be a member of
the IDP Representative Forum, please contact the relevant person
within your area of jurisdiction, from the list below and this will
assure that your name is added on the list of the IDP Rep Forum
stakeholders.
