As online learning has become more and more prevalent, the average performance

level of elementary and high school students has declined.

What are the reasons for this?
What are some ways the situation can be improved?

In recent years the popularity of study online has considerably decreased the
overall achievement of primary school and secondary school students. This trend
can be directly attributed to a variety of distractions and the lack of necessary tools
for study. Fortunately, there are some feasible ways to reduce this problem.
To begin with, student achievement falls significantly because there are many
distractions that can prevent students from focusing on the lesson when they study
online at home. For example, noises from family members can easily distract
learners from the lecture ,thereby being difficult for teachers to monitor and control
the behavior of all students in an online classroom. Furthermore, the study can be
less effective because of the lack of computers and internet, which are
indispensable tools for an online classroom. In addition, an unstable internet
connection or other technical problems can ruin a lesson. As a result, this inability
to study has greatly decreased the average performance level of elementary and
high school students.
The most reasonable way to allow students to study online effectively is for
teachers to interact more with them. For example, using body language or making
eye contact frequently with students can make them feel more interested in
listening to the teacher and more connected to the lecture .Another viable solution
would be for students to need improved self learning skill in order to study better.
For instance, students can read more books to enrich their knowledge and broaden
their mind.
In conclusion, there is little chance that study online problems are ever going to
completely disappear. However, by interacting more with teachers and improving
self study skills by students, the overall achievement can be gained better.
