GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS

1. All the students should bring their AUH Examination Admit Card, failing which they will not be permitted to write any examination
paper. Students should accompany their Permanent AUH ID Card along with.

2. The students are advised to ensure on the day of the Examination that they are not debarred in the subject in which they are appearing,
failing which they will not be permitted to write the examination paper.

3. There should be an announcement 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination (to allow the students to enter the
examination rooms / LT). In exceptional cases, the students will be allowed not later than 30 minutes after commencement of the
examination.

4. The students are advised to:

a) See the Seating plan, displayed on the notice board outside the block for easily locating the Examination room/place of
Examination.

b) Sit as per the examination seating plan of the day.

c) Ensure that nothing should be scribbled on tables, chairs, white board and walls etc. of the examination
hall. In case anything is written it should be brought to the notice of Invigilator(s) immediately.

d) Go through the instructions mentioned on the first page & last page of OMR Answer Sheet.

e) Fill in all the details clearly with Pen only in Black/ Blue ink on OMR Answer sheet.

f) Verify whether the correct question paper has been received by you in the beginning of Examinations.
The responsibility of getting the correct question paper lies with the examinee.

g) Fill up the Enrollment number in continuation in OMR answer book as well as on the top of the question paper.

h) Not to disclose the identity by writing the Enrollment Number, Name, Signatures on Graph paper/Chart and Supplementary
Sheets. Not to put any Symbol/Mark inside the Answer Book which may lead to disclosure of the identity. In case of violation of
the guidelines, UFM case will be registered.

i) Switch off the mobile phones/ electronic gadgets & keep the same in the bag. The bag shall be kept outside the examination
room. In case a student still possesses a mobile phone/ electronic gadgets, UFM case will be registered. The provision of
penalties of use of unfair means includes ‘cancellation of the entire examinations’ of the candidate in respect of which he/she is
found to have used unfair means.

j) Not to misbehave with the invigilator(s)/staff on Examination duty.

k) Cross the blank sheets of the OMR answer book with the cross mark (X) after attempting the question paper.

5. The use of Steam Tables, Psychometric chart, Log Table, Statistical Tables, Exam Specific Data Hand books, Scientific Calculators for
engineering students is permitted. However the students are not permitted to use Programmable Calculators / I Pad etc. inside the
examination hall. Any such violation / malpractice will be viewed very seriously & strict disciplinary action will be taken as per AUH rules.

6. If a student has to go to wash room, he / she has to make an ‘in-out’ entry in the sheet provided for the purpose.
However exit from examination hall for this purpose is restricted in the initial one hour.

7. No student is allowed to leave the examination hall during the initial half time of the duration of the examination. In case of leaving the
examination hall after half time, the student has to submit the question paper along with the answer sheets to the invigilator. (In such a
case the question paper can be taken back by the student after the completion of examination)
